DIddy gets asked about his album and he uses it as an excuse to blame DJs for the state of Hip Hop?

Bad Boy is making run of the mill reality TV shows with cookie cutter artists designed specifically to appeal to a mainstream audience. Completely formulaic.

Give us DJs some good albums. Every song on an artist's album is designed to be a single these days.

I could go on...

But what it comes down to is you could just as easily blame the current state of Hip Hop on people like Diddy, for using his music strictly as a marketing ploy to sell his latest "Fragrance" or his new clothing line and for not making music just for the sake of making music.

As a DJ I feel a need to argue my point of view!

Very true, but I also some what agree that most deejays don't probe as deep for songs any more. It's very uninspiring, and partly why I don't go out as much anymore.

who was that? I know that wasn't Diddy talking about being sick of hearing the same song on the radio. Dude emerged victorious from one of the greatest eras of payola on NYC radio, this could be hypocrisy at its best... or maybe it's just that Diddy, like the rest of us, is getting older and can't really relate to the new hit makers no more? regardless, definitely interesting stuff...
